The 2015–2020 Ford F-150 kicked off the 13th generation with one of the biggest changes in the truck’s history, moving to an aluminum-alloy body that dropped significant weight compared to the previous generation. Engine options varied by year but included the 2.7L and 3.5L EcoBoost V6, 5.0L Coyote V8, naturally aspirated V6 options, and eventually the 3.0L Power Stroke diesel. The Raptor brought a high-output version of the 3.5L EcoBoost into the mix.
Underneath, the F-150 retains the tried-and-true truck formula with independent front suspension and a solid rear axle with leaf springs. Factory wheel options ranged from 17-inch work-truck setups to 20-inch and larger wheels on higher trims, giving owners plenty of room to change the look and capability of the truck.
For most 2015–2020 F-150 builds, wheels, tires, and suspension are where things start. A leveling kit can clean up the factory rake and make room for a more aggressive tire, while larger lift kits open the door for 35-inch tires and wider wheel setups. The 6x135 bolt pattern also gives these trucks a massive selection of aftermarket wheels.
Whether you’re building a leveled daily driver, an EcoBoost tow rig, a lifted 5.0L truck, or something built to spend its weekends off-road, the 13th Gen F-150 has no shortage of ways to make it your own.
